S$3 million boost for six start-ups to pilot AI and workforce solutions in healthcare

NHG Health’s Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) today announced the winners of Healthcare InnoMatch 2026, recognising innovations that could address real-world healthcare challenges and better support an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology-enabled workforce. Now in its sixth edition, the global innovation challenge is organised by CHI, presented by Temasek Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Health (MOH), in partnership with NHG Health, the National University Health System (NUHS) and SingHealth.

Under the theme, “Enhancing Health through an AI and Tech-Enabled Workforce”, this year’s challenge sought market-ready solutions to help healthcare professionals enhance care and work more efficiently, given the rising demand for services from an ageing population. Nine finalists, selected from 220 applications across 38 countries, presented their solutions to a panel of judges comprising senior leaders and domain experts from the three public healthcare clusters, Temasek Foundation, MOH and Synapxe. The solutions ranged from AI for medical imaging and robotics, to tools supporting diagnostics, patient triage, healthcare operations, and care across several specialties, including infectious diseases, maternal and child health, dermatology, musculoskeletal care, and Ear Nose Throat (ENT).

The final six Healthcare InnoMatch 2026 winners are:

  • CogStack Ltd – CogStack; paired with NHG Health
  • AITI Solutions Pte Ltd – AI Skin Cancer Detection; paired with NHG Health
  • Biorithm Pte Ltd – Next gen pregnancy care; paired with NUHS
  • NDR Medical Technology – AI image-guided surgical robot; paired with NUHS
  • NousQ Pte. Ltd – CLiKX robotic ear tube device; paired with SingHealth
  • SMILE CURVE. Inc – Senaka Scan; paired with SingHealth

Details of the finalists and their projects are provided in the Annex.

Together, the winning teams will receive up to S$3 million in funding support from Temasek Foundation and MOH to test-bed and evaluate their solutions with Singapore’s public healthcare institutions and community partners.

“Congratulations to this year’s winners and to all nine finalists – the strength of this field shows how much good technology is now within reach of our healthcare system. Finding promising healthtech innovations is only the first step. The real challenge is bringing them into healthcare settings: testing them in real-world settings, generating evidence that clinicians trust and securing adoption. Through the Healthcare InnoMatch, Temasek Foundation supports market-ready innovations to be test-bedded with our public healthcare clusters. When an innovation proves its value, it can be adopted and scaled – to improve healthcare productivity and, ultimately, deliver better care and outcomes for patients,” said Usha Viswanathen, Head, Health & Well-being (Covering), Temasek Foundation.

“The true measure of healthcare innovation is not the idea itself, but the impact it creates for patients, healthcare professionals and communities. Through Healthcare InnoMatch, we are helping innovators generate the evidence and partnerships needed to accelerate adoption within real-world healthcare settings. Over the years, CHISEL has enabled many promising innovations to move from pilot to implementation, creating tangible benefits across our healthcare system. This year’s winners continue that momentum, demonstrating how AI and technology can be harnessed to support a healthier population and a future-ready workforce,” said Associate Professor Wong Hon Tym, Clinical Director, Centre for Healthcare Innovation.

The event also held two knowledge-sharing sessions that highlighted key considerations in healthcare innovation and adoption. In “Where Innovation Meets Practice: Challenges and Opportunities across Singapore’s Public Healthcare Clusters”, representatives from NHG Health, NUHS, and SingHealth shared perspectives on the real-world needs, challenges and opportunities shaping innovation within Singapore’s public healthcare system. In “From Evidence to Adoption and Impact”, the CHI Evaluation Office discussed how robust evaluation frameworks support evidence generation, inform adoption decisions and enable healthcare innovations to deliver meaningful impact at scale.

Together, the finalist pitches and cross-cluster perspectives underscored Healthcare InnoMatch’s role in helping market-ready solutions move from evidence and test-bedding towards adoption and impact. Details of the 2026 finalists and Healthcare InnoMatch’s cumulative impact are provided in the Annex.

Six Years of Accelerating Healthcare Innovation Adoption

Since 2021, Healthcare InnoMatch has brought together innovators, healthcare providers and ecosystem partners to accelerate the adoption of market-ready healthcare innovations. The programme has engaged over 2,700 participants from more than 90 countries and supported 20 winning solutions with S$9.7 million in test-bedding funding from Temasek Foundation and MOH.

Working with more than 19 Public Healthcare Institutions (PHIs) and community partners, these innovations are expected to benefit more than 8,400 patients, with eight completed and 14 ongoing test-bedding projects demonstrating promising outcomes.

As the flagship competition platform under the CHISEL programme, Healthcare InnoMatch bridges innovation and adoption, helping promising solutions achieve real-world healthcare impact at speed and scale.

This year marks Healthcare InnoMatch’s second consecutive year as a Partner Competition of SLINGSHOT, Asia’s premier deep-tech startup pitching competition. Through this collaboration, this year’s selected Healthcare InnoMatch finalist, NousQ Pte. Ltd, will be fast-tracked to the SLINGSHOT Health and Biomedical Domain Finals at SWITCH 2026, expanding opportunities to connect with industry leaders, investors and innovation ecosystem partners.
