STEM education trains students to solve real-life issues with an inter-disciplinary and applied approach. The programme worked with the Department of Education of Philippines, that formulates national policies and programmes for all elementary and high schools, to reach out to STEM educators. Carried out at the national level to reach out to all 17 regions in the Philippines, covering some 1,350 science high schools, the programme seeks to promote innovations in the teaching and learning of STEM education with design thinking, and to build the capability and capacity of a core team of STEM leaders and specialists in the Philippines.
