The production of cell-based meat is expensive, due to the high costs for culture media for growing of cells. Ants Innovate will produce cell-based pork products using their cell essence and engineering technologies, reducing the cost of the product to less than S$40 per kilogram. The proprietary technology will also allow the development of a range of pork products, as well as other meat products such as mutton or beef in the future.
