Launched in 2018, The Liveability Challenge (TLC) is an annual global call for proposals directed at specific liveability or sustainability themes or problem areas. It seeks to expand the knowledge base of innovative solutions, support innovation and entrepreneurship, encourage partnerships and network building, and reinforce Temasek Foundation and Singapore’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Temasek Foundation awards up to S$2 million in project development funding to the teams with the best proposal under each track at the Challenge.

TLC 2023 sought proposals in climate change, and food and nutrition. More than 600 applications from over 80 countries were received this year.
