The National University of Singapore aims to optimise black soldier flies for food recycling via artificial selection. This part of the project will improve the utility of the insects for recycling. The project will also establish a pilot plant capable of handling one tonne of waste per day. This will demonstrate that food recycling with black soldier flies is feasible and economically viable.
