Children from low-income families require support and early intervention in the areas of health, social and child development in their early years. The pilot programme, Neighbourhood Health Service Kids (NHS Kids), conducted needs assessment and outreach to five rental blocks along Boon Lay Drive, and mobilised more than 300 volunteers to assess children and their families for various areas of need in two paediatric screening and intervention screenings for children from low-income families in 2018 and 2019.

A total of 128 children benefitted from the screenings.
