The EIPIC Bursary programme assisted children with special needs from low-income families to enrol in Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children (EIPIC) centres. EIPIC centres provide therapy and early educational support services for children 6 years and below, who are diagnosed to be at risk of having a disabling condition or special need.

low-income families with children having developmental needs may face increased financial challenges. These children may incur higher transport costs if they have difficulties taking public transport and require more costly special transport arrangements. The EIPIC bursary helped these families financially and allowed their children to continue attending the intervention programmes at EIPIC centres.
