The Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) is tapping on digital platforms to share educational video clips with new audiences who may not have had much exposure to Chinese orchestra music. The online resources include eight webisodes which provide an overview of the history and development of Chinese Orchestra, and introduces different types of musical instruments. The SCO has also developed music videos to commemorate festive periods, such as National Day, Lunar New Year, so that Singaporeans at home and abroad can enjoy the celebratory mood. The videos also create more awareness about Chinese orchestra musical tunes.
