Project Hand-in-Hand was a community self-help programme that sought to engage active seniors to be mentors to disadvantaged pre-school children. These children do not attend pre-school regularly due to various challenging family circumstances. As a result, they miss out on development opportunities during their critical early years.

The programme aimed to enable pre-school children with poor attendance records to attend and benefit from pre-school educatio by engaging active seniors and equipping them to support vulnerable/ low-income families in the community via the service of bringing pre-school children to and fro school daily.

Under the programme, pre-schoolers from disadvantaged families also received financial help for their education and health-related needs.
