Public Administration (Mediation & Dispute Resolution) Programme in Asia

Partner(s)

Government Ministries and Agencies in Asia, Singapore Management University

The programme has a four-pronged purpose:
• Provide technical assistance to ASEAN member nations who have or are considering acceding to the Singapore Convention
• Increase institutional awareness of the benefits of mediation and of strong dispute resolution legal frameworks
• Build mediation and dispute resolution capacity among stakeholder officials
• Ensure forward progress on current ratification efforts

It begins with a Cluster Workshop held in Singapore for senior to mid-level government officials from the ASEAN region, where they will deepen their understanding of institutional frameworks for dispute resolution, mediation practice and policy, and next steps for strengthening their dispute resolution infrastructure.

The Cluster Workshop will be followed by three in-country workshops for further engagement.
