In the programme, PWDs engage in physical and cognitive activities and picking up new skills. The programme also included making arrangements for long-term care giving plans, especially for caregivers who are aged. |
6 | Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (LKYSPP) | Programme to study the social and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on lower-income families and gig workers in Singapore. The COVID-19 pandemic had caused considerable economic impact on lower-income families and gig workers. The programme supported the study of the social and economic impact of the pandemic on them, and the resulting proposal of possible intervention strategies to enhance social support to those adversely impacted. |
7 | Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) | Programme to support the AIC Hotline to handle increased calls from seniors needing help during COVID-19 pandemic The AIC hotline experienced a 70% surge in call volumes during Circuit Breaker, with the majority seeking help in daily needs, senior services and financial support. As such, the hotline extended its operating hours to include weekends and public holidays during the Circuit Breaker period. An additional Call Back (Voicemail) feature was also added. |
8 | The Food Bank Singapore | Programme to support vulnerable hawkers during the COVID-19 pandemic Temasek Foundation worked with Food Bank Singapore to purchase and deliver hawker meals to food-insecure families. Besides supporting hawkers whose businesses have been adversely affected, unemployed or low-income workers, along with other volunteers, were engaged to help deliver the meals to temporarily supplement their loss of income. |
