Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers, with ~1,700 cases diagnosed each year in Singapore. It is also the deadliest cancer in Singapore, with 3 out of 4 patients dying within 5 years of diagnosis.

NDR Medical has developed an AI-based image-guided interventional robot to facilitate automated, safe and accurate lung biopsies for cancer diagnosis. In this project, NDR Medical will be conducting a trial with their clinical partner to validate the system’s effectiveness in improving the safety of lung biopsy procedures and the accuracy in targeting small lesions. These, in turn, can enable earlier detection and treatment of lung cancer and improve survival rate.
