GAIT’s system integrates flux measurement data, ground-truthing, spatial data and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, which can serve as a scalable digital monitoring reporting and verification tool for blue carbon. This will simplify access to the carbon markets, and unlock much-needed capital towards high-quality blue carbon projects. This project aims to pilot the system to establish a new blue carbon methodology for mangroves.
