The Philanthropy Asia Summit 2021 was held on 15 November 2021 as a collaborative platform to convene and connect global and regional philanthropists to catalyse
partnerships. Themed
Advancing Human Security and Community Resilience, it brought together multi-sector stakeholders and activated calls to action covering climate action and sustainable communities, inclusive education,
and pandemic security.
The hybrid event featured more than 30 speakers including a keynote speech by Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies, Republic of Singapore. Over 500 onsite and virtual participants,
comprising principals and heads of global and regional philanthropies, family offices, next generation philanthropists and inspiring societal leaders, participated in the summit.
The lead partners for the inaugural summit included Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Bloomberg, DBS, Singapore Economic Development Board, Jollibee Group Foundation, Monetary Authority of Singapore, and UBS.
