Empowering Girls in Mathematics and Science
Since 2018, Temasek Foundation has partnered the NUS High School of Mathematics and Science to offer female primary school students greater access to Mathematics and Science education through the Marie Curie Programme.
Under the programme, about 100 female primary school students are enrolled each year in hands-on workshops that enable them to hone mathematical, scientific and inquiry skills. The students gain an appreciation for math and science by carrying
out scientific experiments, mastering basic computer coding and learning geometry through origami.
The goal of the programme is to encourage young girls to pursue Mathematics and Science at the secondary level.
